Wood Blind Headrail Parts

 If you have repaired older Hunter Douglas wood blinds the pictures {illustration picture pending} at left are not unfamiliar.  The top set shows the old/new part for fabric tapes—with the metal insert to hold the fabric loop instead of the plastic arm that bends and breaks.  For smaller blinds and string anchor tapes the  lower set of pictures shows the two options.  Though the metal part requires pinch clips, it lasts longer and bears weight better than the plastic fingers that too often break.  Sometimes the drum gets a crack in it that has the same net result.

  {Pending our adding of the materials - one can find nice schematics and directions for doing these repairs on the Blindsparts.com site for many blinds.  This site is a good reference for locating obsolete parts.}
